"I've ran away my whole life, but now my running has become a talent that no one can surpass me in.
Century Color, Million Color!
Century Color
Million Color
Once again, the seasons change
And cleanse their minds and bodies.
And you find yourself
Wishing that your past wounds
Could someday be healed
A couple instinctively raises a tiny flower bud
Only throught their everlasting love.
And so it's red beyond red petals will
Whooo Century Color.
Bloom and change into ones that are blue beyond blue.
Whooo Million Color.
You can believe in that warmth
Crying and crying as you hold your dreams
Until you're reborn again into a new life.
Na Na Na, Na Na Na Na, Century Color
Na Na Na, Na Na Na Na, Million Color
TURN!

Why I even put that on there today? Well throughout the past 3 weeks while I've been waiting for Gundam Seed Destiny to come out with each episode every Sunday morning. I've been downloading and watching Turn A Gundam. I know you're all "Oh God not is just anime, it Gundam he's talking about!!" I somewhat understand your pain. But Turn A Gundam is probably the most different at of all the other Gundam series. It's probably one of the most original Gundam series since the first Gundam series airing back in April of 1979.
The reason why I bring it up is because I just finished watching the whole Turn A Gundam series this morning. It's 50 episodes. And for probably one of the underrated animes. This is definately it. It was done back in 1999. And for people like me who've watch animes in the now 2005. Japan is extremely advance. For example, everytime I watch Gundam Seed Destiny and when they go back into a flashback of the first series Gundam Seed which was in 2002. Gundam Seed already looks sooooo outdated it's ridicolus! So I'm watching Turn A Gundam because it's so interesting. It's done by an extremely famous anime director. If you were to look at this anime as a Gundam series. You'll be like, "This isn't a freaking Gundam series!!!"
The reason is that guy was so creative. The Gundam that was in the show didn't even look CLOSE to a Gundam. Most people hated the crap out of Turn a Gundam. It was drawn more blandly, and was more child like. But man were those people very unqiue. They actually change throughout the time like REAL PEOPLE. That's what made me stick to it. It was pretty hard to keep watching I'll admit, it was just to childish at time. Well let me take it back, that's the way if a friend did something and you just can't stand it but you still have to deal with them. You know what I mean. Ill tell you right now. This series, actually had to deal with a lot of Racism. Not between colors, but through where that person was from.
That's one thing I haven't touched on. The other reason why this show is so original. It's because it takes place in the far future like most Gundam series. However, the time era and the way things were at this time was the very early 1900's. Probably when war planes were just starting to be made and such. So basically you had the 1900's people vs. the people from outerspace who were probably 2045 (cars were still driving on wheels but electric.) So the main character is from the Moon, but after spending/ spying on Earth for 2 years. He falls in love with it and the people there. The funny thing is his name is Loran. But there are people who call him Laura, I'm not sure why. He does seem very girlish. The other thing is he's not white, it's probably the first time you ever see that in an anime. He somewhat looked black no more Indian (U.S.) He had white hair. And for him to not kill anyone (except for 1 person) throughout the whole series.
But anyways. Let me get to the end before I really get into it. The ending was incredbile. The fight was really good, but they went more onto what happen to the people after the war. Loran was pretty much a servant to these two girls, but he was sent to the Earth by his Queen. So he had a crush on all three of these girls. Sochie, Kihel, and Queen Dianna. Sochie is the younger sister of Kihel, and probably was the hothead did whatever she want racist girl. I hated her with a passion because she ended up causing so much trouble and to pretty hate the person who's practically been your slave for 2 years and put up with everything. I think the reason why I like Loran so much is he reminds me so much of me. Like people could tell he liked the three girls but he would try to keep it to himself and just be himself.
Throughout the whole series. He DID NOT change at all. I was so proud of that boy. To stay between Earth and the Moon. I mean he had so much pressure on him poor guy. So anyways. Kihel and Queen Dianna looked exactly alike. So of course Loran was like wowing over Kihel, but he could never be close to her as he wanted to be. Since he was the servant and she was pretty important. Okay Okay I'll get to the ending! So throughout the whole war. Kihel because the Queen while the Queen becomes Kihel to live on earth. She wanted to live the rest of her days on earth. The thing is. Loran ends up with Queen Dianna. So they're playing this beautiful song at the end (of course it's in Japanese) and you see this scene in the snow where Sochie and Loran probably a year or two older. And he kisses her and she's crying knowing that she can NEVER have him! First of all I was like hahahhah that's what you get for being so mean and racist towards him, that you'll never have the person you truly loved! But then you feel really sorry for her. I mean she had to grow up pretty quick. both of them since they're around 14 to 15. Just that music with the girl singing and she's crying in the snow. Oh man. That was powerful. To tell you the truth that's probably one of thebest anime endings I've ever seen. Actually. That might BE the BEST ANIME ENDING. Because in most animesyou're usually wishing it was longer, or you want to know what happens to this person, or usually ends horribly. But this one told you about how the good guys were doing and the bad guys. I mean a lot of the bad guys were still alive but moved on and such. But sorry for having you go through that. But how would you understand anime if no one explained it to you right?
