In a mansion hidden in the deep forest near the mountains Enishi and Ox were alone. “Ten days?” Ox looked at Enishi. “Yes. I gave him my declaration of war this morning.” “Was that wise? The others would not like it. Ox working at a bench covered in grisly instruments: scalpels, pliers, mallets and other such tools. “It’ll be fine. I’ll persuade them. More importantly, will you be ready in ten days? Will IT?” “Leave that to me. I'll give this my all. When the time comes, I'll show you a work of art.” “I look forward to it. Indeed, my Earthly Justice hinges upon it.”
Later that morning, Swipe and Megan come to see Vivi and Makenzie. Swipe’s hand is re-bandaged in a sling. “You mean Maken isn’t back yet?” “No,” Vivi shook her head. “And I dragged the medicine chest all the way here just for him.” As is there was a little arrow labeled “medicine chest” at Megan. "I just now patched you up. Don't you have a shred of gratitude in you?" Swipe ignored her and went on, “Well, no point in worrying. Guy's practically invincible.” Megan hit his arm, “Idiot. He most certainly is not.”
“Oh yeah I almost forgot. There was a guy at the dojo I was fighting who looked exactly like one of the Ten Sword AnQels. If you think about it, it fits exactly with what we've heard so we'd think that. In this battle the enemy must have had relations with the Nekam faction--no, WANTED us to think he had relations with the Nekam faction” Swipe was now getting pounded by the medicine box Megan was using on her. “I thought it was an accident! There was a battle!?” Swipe now tried to block with his injured hand against her punches, “I know. I didn't think we could keep this up much longer. When Maken gets back --.” Rica came running to them, “Guys! Maken’s back! But, but,” she couldn’t finish.
Maken walks in after her. He is walking slowly, his eyes blank and cast down. “Hey Mak --,” Swipe was cut off as Vivi raised her hand. “Welcome back. You look tired. Are you going to take a nap?” Vivi asked. “Yes.” He walks on around to his quarters. Megan spoke, “He’s miles away.” “This is not like him at all. What happened?” Swipe was wondering. Rica turned to Vivi, “Vivi, you didn’t even ask him anything.” “Sadly I couldn’t ask. I’ve never seen him look like he suffered so much.”
Maken paces on thinking, “What can I do, to atone for my sins? What can I --,” something crunches underfoot. He looks up to find himself in a bleak, dark landscape, where the ground is composed entirely of human bones. Him thinking again, “What is this place? When did – (aloud) Hills of white bones. Like Hell. A place fit for Nekam.” He passes a hand over his eyes. “No. I am just as fit for Hell. I wielded my sword for the new age; for the sake of the oppressed. To those close to the ones I killed who called me an assassin who worked in the dark. I caused so much suffering.” A figure is walking up ahead, her back towards him. Maken wondered who she was and ran to her since she was the only other person he could see. He reaches out to her. She turns, and her eyes fix him with a cold stare.
He wakes up, gasping for breath thinking, “I’m going mad.” He is now sitting on the porch, watching the wind chime turn idly in the breeze. “What should I do? I can’t find an answer. If this goes on my ghosts will kill me.” He hears shouting and gun fire in the distances. He walks over and looks in. He sees Makenzie working with a wooden sword and marital arts, while Vivi was working on aiming practice with the gun. “Crap! I’m still relying on the whole blade. Sword succession techniques are based on the hilt. First learn what the hilt can do!” Makenzie was talking to herself. “They’re working hard,” Swipe was sitting next to Megan getting his hand bandaged again. “Hold still!” She screamed at him.
Rica notices Maken at the door, “Maken.” Vivi see him too and puts the gun away. Makenzie didn’t bother with what was going on, “Rica help me count the hundred strokes with the hilt I’m going to do.” Rica went to her. Maken looked confused, “Vivi what is this?” “Well as you can see we’re working on becoming better so you don’t have to protect us all the time. Makenzie’s working on mastering sword techniques.” “Isn’t she a little young? She’s as young as Swipe,” Maken referring to Swipe and Makenzie being 14 years old. “I thought so too. Because she can't keep her temper and at first all she would say was "I want to be strong no matter what." But the other night, when you ran off on your own, she told me, "I'm sick of being the only one that's weak." She can tell something's going on, and she's working hard to be stronger and to grow up. For you, and for all of us, and for herself!” Vivi told him. That's true. Makenzie's rushed ahead too fast sometimes, but she hasn't made the mistakes I've made. So she's sensed this disaster as well.” Maken watched her practice.
He turns to lean against the wall, looking down. After a very long pause Maken spoke, “I guess there's something I need to talk to you about.” Vivi looks at him and sees that same blank, downcast look in his eyes. She holds back her questions again and finds a smile, “Before that, are you sure you're not hurt? You can tell me later. Right now Megan should check you out.” “Thank you.” Maken looks at Makenzie “That sweat.” Then he looks at Swipe, “Those wounds.” Maken thought to himself, “I’ll fight I can find my answers later.” He spoke aloud, “This warmth, these are no phantoms. They are all real.” Thinking to himself again, “Now, I want to protect what is real, not phantoms.”
Maken spoke to them all, “There's something I want to tell you all about this battle from the beginning.” A little later everyone is sitting on the porch, listening. “This morning, on my way home, I received a declaration of war from the mastermind behind all this. Ten days from now, he will attack here with all his forces. This man's name is Enishi Jovan, my brother.” “Your brother!?!” Everyone was shocked to know that Maken had any family left and they started talking among each other. Maken cleared his throat and all of them got quiet. “Actually, to be more precise, he is my brother-in-law. The brother of,” He paused looking away then back at them. “My wife I killed with my own hands. It began in the last war, the story of the hatred behind these thirteen scars on my face.
(Real entry)
Well now. Surprise, surprise! Didn’t expect that at all did you!? Lol. Actually if you would have read the earlier stories like the battle with Maken vs. Nekam. The last attack he did all those flashbacks. The story tells you about the girl, all the scars on his face and a lot of other stuff on how Maken became the way he is.
For the next couple of entries, it’s all going to be about MakenZero’s past. And it’s going to be pretty violent and mind blowing. You’re going to see a younger Maken of course. Find out about his wife a bit. I’m sorry for that by the way. The wife’s name has never ever been decided. So I just leave it blank, or I just get over it some how; I don’t know how but I do. I don’t even know what she looks like. I think I’m going to have to though soon, because I have to write about her in these next few entries.
But what do you people think? I try to keep it as quiet as I could. I thought the last entry was really good. I always think the best entries are the ones where there’s talking about the characters really well and in their backgrounds. You learn new stuff and all. There’s a bunch of huge shockers coming even after all the past MakenZero story is told. He’s still got to fight Enishi. By the way I need to explain his name as well. Enishi is actually the original character from Kenshin. So he’s still playing his part, everybody else has been replaced. The story telling is going to get a bit rough though. Because there’s so many characters and having to name them all at times. So I don’t know what’s going to happen there.
Also I got my final essay I wrote last week. Thursday my professor gave it back to me. I looked at him and said how it was? He said, “I don’t know you tell me.” So I open it and there are errors. I read through it, I noticed that there were not as many errors, and there were no HUGE errors like I thought there was going to be. So I look in the back of the paper and he wrote on it saying, “You are right; it is a good essay.” And the grade he gave me was a B. It was about freaking time. I thought I never get higher grade in that class.
Who knows though, that’s just one B out of two D’s and 4 C-‘s you know. So it’s still iffy if I’m going to pass that class. But I really needed that. I told my mom and my brother that I’m not going to pass my math class. It’s sad but at least I told them right? Instead of telling them after I get my grades in December. I wish I was better in math. But of course I have to work hard at it. I’m fine in everything else, but when it comes to school I suck lol. Oh well. Thanks for reading. And you people who just read the real entry, go read the story for once you nutz >8P HAHA.
