June 5 the day of the festival. In MakenZero’s room the mysterious girl is sewing; MakenZero is leaning against the wall, fast asleep. Azusa bursts into the room. “Hey MakenZero! Come on, it's the festival, let's get going! After this we're going to hit the red-light district--,” “Shh, MakenZero is finally asleep.” Azusa gives her a puzzled looked, and backs out of the room thinking, “MakenZero fast asleep in front of someone else? Could it be no longer any joke?” Out loud. “Well no skin off my back.” A man pulls open the front gate, out of breath. Azusa looks at him smiling, “Hey! Are you going to the festival?” “This is no time for festivals! Something terrible has happened!”
In his room, MakenZero wakes up. The girl looks at him, “What is it? Azusa was just--,” Azusa and the other man rush in. “MakenZero!” “What is it? You’re supposed to be guarding Caesura at the meeting--,” “The secret meeting place was raided by the Wolves of the mountain!” “So information is getting out,” Azusa looked at the man then MakenZero. “What about Caesura?” MakenZero asked. “It was too soon for him to reach the meeting place. He narrowly avoided disaster, but the others.” MakenZero starts to rush out, Azusa holds him back. “Wait MakenZero it's too late! Even if you go charging out now you'll never get there in time. There are 3000 soldiers out there! Fighting now will only make things worse for Caesura and the rest of us.”
The sudden shock of the incident brought the triumphant return of the Wolves of the mountains. The wolves with their clothes bloodstained, parade through the streets lined with nervous citizens. Hidden in the crowd and wearing a concealing hat is MakenZero. “So that’s the Wolves of the Mountain. These men are the greatest obstacle in the way of Caesura’s faction.” One of the wolves’ pauses and glances behind him; his eyes meet MakenZero’s. “What’s wrong Master Sage?” “It’s nothing Madame Primm.” The girl who was at least five foot smiled up at him. “You’re so morbid smelling blood all the time. We need to take you shopping and give you something that smells elegantly.” “Primm?” “Yes?” “Don’t talk if you do not understand the words that are coming from even your own mouth. Something is fowl and you need to wear your sword more often and be serious.” “But a sword gets in a way of playing tag!” She laughed. MakenZero watched them, “That man, I feel like we're destined to meet again.”
And so--on the brink of that night the age took a violent reversal. When exaggeration and misinformation about the meeting tragedy reached Caesura’s faction, the province exploded. In the grip of madness that knew no end, a troop of about 3000 began marching to the capital. To meet them were enemy forces totaling about 20,000. They could see defeat before fighting even began. July 18. Though MakenZero and the patriots fought well, they could not hope to turn the tide. In a battle that lasted barely a day, the Caesura’s faction losses climbed to 400, while the enemy casualties were less than 60. The war fires spread to 28,000 homes and many perished in the city streets.
People search through the burnt wreckage of their homes for whatever they can salvage. MakenZero and the girl are standing underneath a bridge; underneath it Caesura huddles beneath a black raincoat. “I heard about the meeting. Their real plan was to set fire to the city and capture the headmasters in the confusion. Caesura was the only one who opposed that outrage. Caesura was also the only one to survive the attack. One of the men said it's by Heaven's decree.” Caesuras replied, “But look at us now. My faction is destroyed. We're now being pursued as enemies of the headmasters. The conservatives are gaining power. There's been a reversal in the provincial government. I'll stay in hiding for a while. If I stay here I'll be caught.”
“What should I do Caesura? The hotel was burnt to the ground.” “We've arranged for a house outside of the city. You can hide yourselves there until you decide what to do. I'll contact you through Azusa.” Caesura looked at the girl. “Yes?” Caesura got up to his feet, “If you have nowhere to go, you could live there with MakenZero. A young couple will avoid suspicion more easily than a young man alone. Of course it would be just for show. Look after him.” He walks off. They watch him in silence for a moment. “What should we do? I don't really have a place to go, but--,” “It's not as though you have nowhere, if you need money for traveling that can be arranged. (A pause) I guess it's harsh of me to leave it all to you. Let's live together. I don't know how long it will last, but. It doesn't have to be for show, together till death do us part.”
Caesura’s advisor is visiting Thames who is in prison. “That kid's getting married?! He only just came of age! Now that’s funny.” “This is no laughing matter Thames, at a time like this? What is he thinking?” Caesura advisor shook his head. Thames coughed, “What are you talking about? The whole time Caesura looked official. He had his girl on the side.” “Caesura and MakenZero are two very different things.” Thames looks down at his palm; he coughed up blood. “They’re not different. Caesura and MakenZero, unlike me, are going to protect this new era. If they can't fight for the women they love, whatever stands in their way, then what's going to happen to this nation?” “Unlike you, Thames, you’re sick aren’t you?” Thames wiping his hand hastily, “Don’t worry about me. You think I'd die without ever getting out of here again? Leave this place to me MakenZero. You and your woman don’t abandon this place even if it means your life.”
Caesura has fallen from power. Thames is ill. Amidst all these troubles, the young couple began their life together in the late summer. MakenZero was now thirteen; the girl, twenty.
(Real Entry)
Well got my wallet back from Georgia Tech. YAY!!! So I can drive again. It’s so funny how something that small can pretty much ruin your life you know? We carry almost everything that’s important on us in a wallet or purse.
I did get through the first 13 episodes of TunderCats. They really need to work on the girl actors. They sound terrible. They all sound really old lol. Even Wildy Kit! And she's like 12! What's up with that!? Lion-O's voice is perfect as well as Tigera and Panthro. Oh! There is something I really need to get out on here.
My brother’s is getting married as I told you. Actually I remember a few who freaked out and thought I WAS GETTING MARRIED! Man I never saw how so many girls bubbles busted LOL. ^_^ Well anyways. Over thanksgiving mom went to go meet Jennifer's parents (brother's fiancée.) Like a Tuesday of this week she said something to me about it. She said she didn't like it at all.
She said the yard was trashy and everyone wore tennis shoes. (Meaning they were cheap ::rolls eyes:
I tell you something must have stuck her. I guess it's because it's her son getting married. Being over protective. Oh yeah mom finally saw her first Gothic. LOL I thought it was so funny. I mean I was thinking to myself when she was describing as if I don't know what a person in all black is at times.
I didn't say this to her but I was thinking. "Mom when was the last time you were in a white person's house?" lol. The thing that bothered me is that she was getting on this. I can tell she was really upset. I think it's because she knew she had good kids or something. I'm not saying we're the perfect sons. But I know there are other parents when we were growing up wonder why their kids weren't like us. I mean we just really really good kids. We really stayed out of trouble as much as possible. That's just how it went.
Mom finally gets to the point of why she was bringing it up. "Rory don't bring anyone like that here." I knew what she meant but she was going to say it anyways. I knew she was talking about white girls, it just makes me mad she thought that. She wants my brother and I to go up not down. The thing is. Jennifer came from a small country town like Brian and I did. And they both went to UGA. Small town people going to a big @$$ University. Her parents aren’t really rich or anything. I really don't care for that.
It's bugging the crap out of me. I mean if mom didn't want that then why did she leave us? She dragged day all the way out in the country of Georgia then left us out there for some reason. I still don't even know that reason today. She went to say, that those girls are just trying to bring themselves up. Which there is nothing wrong with that, however she suggest we're bringing ourselves down. I ask myself this. Then how do they ever get anybody who's having it better who can do wonder for them? Is there something wrong with that? I don't know. When Brian told me he was getting married. The first thing I thought was that he was too young. He just got a nice job, he's a very attractive guy, very smart. Why get tied down now?
My mom says he's going to regret it. What do I think? I don't know, I'm really worried. I want everything to workout for him. I hope Jennifer will make a good wife though. Damn it mom putting all this doubt in me about this. Mom also asks me is there nice black girls or mix girls at my schools. I really don't see any that suit me there. It's so funny; I dated my first black girl when I was a sophomore! And I think it was the same with my brother Brian. I hate how mom has come to this. I mean what did you expect if you left us to live in a small country town. I mean there wasn't much to pick from. Then all your sons got ridiculed by there own race up there.
I can still remember that black girls name. She Melissa Shruggs. I've known her since first grade, and she never liked me. Made fun of me all the way until my seventh grade year. I had moved never heard from her. But she's definitely why I didn't date my own race which is sad. I mean I met some nice girls that arre my color but that was by my Junior year. Your pretty much programmed by that point. I've dated every other race more then my own. It's sad really that it comes down to that.
Some people just don't get it. Man the last thing my mom said just made me want to blow up so much more. "The only reason why Brian can marry her is because she's poorer then us. If that was a white girl that was richer then us. Brian wouldn't be on her doorsteps." OMG I went so cold after that. I just didn't want to hear anymore. Thank god we were in the car dropping me off at college. sometimes it's true though. I mean I experienced things like that when I dated some. People just don't know how to let things go.
A couple weeks ago I was in a videogame stores where my friends work at. And it's a pretty rich part because they have a lot of big neighborhoods near them. So a child's parents were coming in and start talking to me out of the blue. they start telling us about what happen at a middle school down the street. Said some middle schooler taped a bullet to the window and it had a note about black people. They found out who the kid was and stuff. And I'm like wow. I meant things like that happened at this middle school. My friend Nathan went there and he told me that's pretty much what it was like, "You have the poor whites, blacks, and rich white people at that school. I am not surprised that happen but why kids that age know about racism?"
Everyone was asking themselves that. And I already knew. I mean where else could they get it? Parents. Only parents went through a lot of that time you know what I mean. The parents agreed with me and the dad said something quite interesting. "It has to be parents. There will always be some type of racism in us since we're the ones who had gone through it and didn't know anything at the time for being stupid." They left and I was just thinking. I never really had to go through that so much. But I still did even if I was a nice kid. I was always suspected of something.
