Remembrance 9- Snow White

MakenZero is looking outside, “No wonder it's so cold. It's snowing. It'll cover the ground.” “I told you before that my family is from.” MakenZero turns back from the window to see her sitting by the fire pouring tea. “There are three of us. We lived peacefully. We weren't so well off that we had money to spare, but we never went hungry. My father knew nothing of the scholarly arts, but he was a kind, loving man, good to his family and his neighbors. My mother was kind too, but she was always weak, and she died shortly after Enishi was born. Enishi never knew her. But I always took care of him, so he loved me as he would her. To Enishi I was both sister and mother, my sweet little brother. He has a tendency to judge people harshly, and he can get a little out of hand, but he's a good kid. When my engagement was announced he threw a tantrum. The worst he's ever been.”

He gives her a startled look. She takes a few steps forward. “Here,” she hands him a cup of tea. “My fiancé was the second son of a similar family, a childhood friend. Like my father, he wasn't accomplished, but he was kind and hardworking. At the time, I loved him very much. When he chose me, I was very happy. But, even though I was so happy, all I could do was look at him in amazement. No matter how much I hate it, I can hardly ever smile. Maybe that's why I never told him how happy I was. "If the second son of a soldier cannot make you happy, I will at least be known as a warrior of repute," he told me. He postponed our wedding and joined the chaos of the war. He never returned.”

There is a slight pause. “I didn't wait for the news to come to me. I went to the capital as well. And (thinking) I entered in a plot to kill you. (Aloud) He died, in a far-off place I didn't know. The happiness I should have had died with him. But maybe it really was my fault. If I had cried and tried to stop him from going to war for me, because I thought that way, if I hadn't found something--someone to hate, I would have gone mad.” MakenZero holds her close. She had one a big shirt and it slipped off her should to her elbows. It’s all right. It’s all right now.” She looked up at him to kiss but she ended up sobbing. Outside the snow begins to fall harder.

A little later. “A little more than a year ago, because I wanted to protect the happiness of the people of this country, I quarreled with my master and left him. For that reason, I wanted to end the conflict and open a new era. That's why I joined the Caesura loyalists,” MakenZero said to her as they both curled up underneath the blanket they brought out near the fire. “I believed that I could do that with the skills that I had learned from my master. But in reality it wasn't that simple. I killed and killed, without bringing the new era one step closer--I was just a common murderer. I buried my feelings, but somewhere in my consciousness the hazy smell of blood was never far away. That was when I met you. Your questions pierced the haze around me. My half-lost sanity returned to me,” he thought to himself, “I don’t smell blood anymore. Only your white plum scent.”

Now out loud, “For the first time, I understood the seriousness of people's many different kinds of happiness. No matter how great the skill of the teachings I was given, no matter how I tried to raise my own skill, one man can't hope to change an era alone. And he certainly can't bear the burden of man's happiness alone. The only thing he can do is protect the happiness of the people he sees before him, one by one. But before that--my days as a shadow assassin will go on. Until the day when the new era is achieved, I'll push my way forward, over corpses. But when we reach the new age--maybe this is foolish of me--I want to find a way to protect others without taking life. While finding a way to atone for the crime of stealing other's happiness with my own hands.” He looked at her. “Yes?” “The happiness you lost once, in all this violence. I'll protect it this time for you.” She looked into his eyes and smiled. “All right.”

The next morning she gets dressed and picks up her diary. MakenZero is still asleep. She thought to herself, “This man stole my happiness once. And he gave me another happiness. He'll kill again. But he'll protect more lives than he takes. He must not die here.” She steps outside, “Farewell. My second love.” She closes the door behind her.

(Real Entry)

Awe, oh gosh. For those who read this. You probably figured out what’s going on now. MakenZero had killed the girl’s fiancé, but fallen in love with her. She came to the city where she saw him for the first time, to see the killer who killed her love. She didn’t know what would happen either. Yet the fact reminds. She still worked against MakenZero to bring his downfall.

Enishi is such a brat isn’t he? Man I can’t stand him young. Well I’m not even sure if I stand him older now. He’s pretty much an annoying character. What makes him so cool is that you know he the girl’s brother. And wanted revenge after 11 years, which there’s still more to the kid. He’s got a freaking empire of weapons. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. The story isn’t over. It’s now building up. And I’m so glad you people have been reading it. Well some of you anyways.

It’s hard to break up a good story you know. The next part is practically already been written out two years ago. I liked it. But I was more of a narrator which made it sound kind of bad. So I need to work on that. Plus the manga is different. I don’t want to include all these people. Because there’s so many right now. So I’m going by the movie of Kenshin. The funny thing about all this. It’s a story being told in a story. So when this ends. MakenZero still has to fight Enishi. There’s still a lot of surprises left. Are we even half way through this story arc now?

NO WAY! We’re getting halfway but we’re still not there. Probably after the past story is done. There’s still a lot of writing to do. I can’t believe this thing turned out to be so long!. By the way, I checked all 50 of my online contacts on here today! What an achievement whew! That was soooo long to get through them all. Because my internet connection went off and on like a light switch. Which was making me really really mad. So 50 people have been checked on. I didn’t comment lol that would have taken too long. But I visited everyone on my list. So how good is that? ^_^ Enjoy the story! And catch up if you need to!
