Kumar barreled down, turning furious somersaults through the air and lands smashing through a building. While Hans touches down beside him. “It's escalated another step,” Megan told the others. “That's proof of his confidence in his strength. We can't afford to make light of that power. But--,” Vivi got cut of by Makenzie, “He doesn't look that bright.” “Actually, I'm not sure what that move was meant to accomplish,” Vivi scratched her head. “What was that!?” Kumar looked at the girls furiously, while Megan looked at Swipe, “Two of a kind, I guess.” “What!?” Swipe glared at them.

“It seems the only ones left are these brave young ladies,” Hans extends a hand to reveal the miniature crossbow below his sleeve, “Which one shall I take?” “You’ve got the wrong opponent,” Maken vaults over their heads to land between Hans and the girls. “You will be fighting me.” “But Maken what about that guy Jax?” Swipe asked. “It's all right. Below the arm is a vital spot. The blow he took pierced his ribs to the lung. Even if he's still conscious, until he can breathe again he won't be able to lift a finger.”

“You're MakenZero! Sweet! I'm taking you down! But first, I got a little business to take care of.” Kumar looked over at Swipe who was smiling, “Just what I wanted to hear.” Swipe steps forward still only the now half dispersed Zanbatou. “You're armed today. Ha! Not that it matters. Try it and I'll teach you the strength of my arm guards all over again!” Swipe thinking, “Those arm guards are going intercept any attac. But on the other hand, that means he isn't expecting to get hit himself. I'll smash them first and just beat him into submission. Now that I can't use the Futae no Kiwami, I got to count on you one more time, Zanbatou!”

They charge. Swipe brings the Zanbatou across in a level swing; Kumar holds up the arm guards to block. The arm guards shatter. Swipe thinking, “Thanks Zanbatou.” Kumar only smiles. The arm guards that Swipe just smashed were only coverings. They fall away to reveal a much more improved arm guards underneath. “What!?” Swipe took a step back. “What do you mean what?” Kumar begins to pound him with punches, “I told you I would do it all over again! Invincible arm guards to New Invincible arm guards! Look! They're better shaped and more efficient! (to Enishi) Thanks, I'll use them well!” Enishi nodded, “Please, feel free.” Kumar looks back to Swipe, “Ha--ha! What do you feel now? Despair? Regret?” “My chest hurts. Like somebody made me eat too much,” Swipe charges, “And my Zanbatou died for nothing!” Kumar punches him again, “Shut up!”

Megan looked worried, “Swipe can’t keep this up!” Hans and Maken are still locked in a stand off. “Why won't you move? Do you wish to see your friend die?” Hans smiled evilly. “If I move, you'll shoot the three behind me.” “What makes you think that?” “For whatever reason, that's the kind of man you are.” Hans smiles even more, “How perceptive of you. Then you will let him die.”

Unable to fend off the arm guards, Swipe takes blow after blow. Maken spoke again, “If he dies here, then it will be because Swipe was never any greater than this.” “Ha! Fine words, MakenZero! I'm pleased to hear you speak so plainly! Then you will abandon him! You will let him die!” Hans stares all his power into Maken. The girl behind him were thinking the same thing, “No! It's just the opposite! If it were one of us or a stranger fighting, Maken would never have said that. He said it because it's Swipe! The only one he doesn't have to protect. The only man who can fight alongside Maken!”

In the hot air balloon above Ox looked at Enishi. “This isn't going well. Kumar won't do anything but attack, and Hans' determined to wait and trick his opponent into acting. They're the two extremes--in the end, they're deadlocked. If we stay on the sidelines, we'll miss our chance for earthly justice.” Ox leaps from the basket of the balloon to a large box hanging below it. “I have no choice but to make my move.”
